Generally, design and installation shall be in accordance with Ohio EPA regulations. Pursuant to EPA requirements, water mains shall be installed with at least a ten-foot horizontal and 18-inch vertical separation from any sanitary sewers. The village also requires a five-foot horizontal and 18-inch vertical separation from any storm sewer, measured from out-to-out. All installations of water mains will require that either the developer or the village to submit plans to the Ohio EPA and obtain a permit to install (PTI) prior to the installation of any water mains. The developer shall pay all permitting fees.
