§ 36.01 LEAVE OF ABSENCE WITH PAY.
   (A)   Leave of absence with pay.
      (1)   Generally.       (2)   Vacation and sick leave.
         (a)   Vacation and sick leave shall only be accrued at the employee's regular rate during this paid leave.
         (b)   This paid leave of absence shall be in addition to the employee's vacation leave, but shall not exceed 22 eight-hour work days or 176 hours within one calendar year.
         (c)   An employee on one continuous leave of absence that extends into a subsequent calendar year or years will receive pay only for one period of 22 work days or 176 hours, not for each year of the same leave.
         (d)   In the case of military leave, paid leave shall mean the difference between the employee's regular salary and the employee's military base pay.
         (e)   The employee must submit satisfactory evidence of military pay in order to receive this benefit.
   (B)   No compensation for leave beyond coverage of this section. The village shall not compensate an employee for military leave beyond what is covered in this section.
   (C)   Replacement. This section is intended to replace entirely any provisions of the Ohio Revised Code, including Ohio R.C. § 5923.05 as now written or later amended, and those provisions shall not apply to any employee of the village.
