§ 35.06 EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE SERVICES.
   (A)   Assessment service.
      (1)   The village recognizes its commitment and responsibility to employees by providing an opportunity for employees to deal with drug and alcohol related problems.
      (2)   The Administrator of the program will provide any employee with an explanation of available assessment services and a list of resources.
      (3)   Each employee is responsible for paying for any and all services associated with assessment.
   (B)   Encouragement to voluntarily seek treatment.
      (1)   Employees are encouraged to voluntarily seek assistance with substance abuse before alcohol and drug problems lead to disciplinary actions.
      (2)   The decision to seek prior assistance will not be used against an employee in any disciplinary proceeding.
      (3)   The village will support all employees who seek prior assistance by working with the employee and, where appropriate, granting a reasonable medical or personal leave of absence.
   (C)   Testing positive.
      (1)   Employees who test positive for drugs or alcohol will receive an explanation of substance abuse assessment, in addition to appropriate corrective action.
      (2)   The employee will be provided with a list of qualified substance abuse assessment resources in the community and will be expected to seek assistance.
