§ 11.01 AUTHORITY AND JURISDICTION.
   (A)   The Council pursuant to Ohio R.C. § 721.04 hereby extends the authority and jurisdiction of the Village of Marblehead, and all of its ordinances and regulations for a distance of two miles into Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay. The two mile area shall commence at a point where the westerly boundary of the village as it exists on October 1, 2000, intersects the natural shoreline of Lake Erie. Thence northerly in a continuation of the village's westerly boundary a distance of two miles to a point. Thence easterly, southerly and westerly, parallel to the natural shoreline of Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay but two miles therefrom by perpendicular measurement to the intersection with the southerly extension of the village's westerly boundary, as it exists on October 1, 2000. Thence northerly, in a southerly extension of the village's westerly boundary, a distance of two miles to a point on the natural shoreline of Sandusky Bay, where the two mile area shall terminate, but excluding from the two mile area any part thereof lying outside the territorial limits of Ottawa County, Ohio.
   (B)   It is the intention of this Council, that for all purposes of government and exercise of authority and for all powers the limits of the village shall be held to extend out, in, over and under the water and land made, or that may be made within the area described in the preceding paragraph.
   (C)   This chapter amends and updates Ordinance No. 3, of 1997 to include newly annexed areas.
