ORDINANCE NO. O-2539-17

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENTT O THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF MARBLE CLIFF, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the 2017 S-9 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Marble Cliff, which supplement contains all ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted since the May 2014 update and the original Code of Ordinances of the Village; and

WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances which are based on or make reference to sections of the Ohio Code; and

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council of the Village of Marble Cliff to accept these updated sections in accordance with the changes of the law of the State of Ohio; and

WHEREAS, legal counsel for the Village of Marble Cliff has recommended the amendment to or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances; and

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council of the Village of Marble Cliff to accept these revisions, amendments and additions; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the Village of Marble Cliff, to update and maintain its Code of Ordinances in a manner which is readily accessible to its residents and for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and general welfare of the Village that this ordinance take effect at an early date:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Marble Cliff, County of Franklin, State of Ohio, 6 members concurring:

Section 1.   That the 2017 S-9 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Marble Cliff as submitted to the American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, and as attached hereto, be, and the same is, hereby adopted by reference as if set out in its entirety.

Section 2.   That such supplement shall be deemed published as of its adoption and approval by the Council of the Village of Marble Cliff, and the Fiscal Officer of the Village of Marble Cliff is hereby authorized and ordered to insert such supplement into the copy of the Code of Ordinances kept on file in the Office of the Fiscal Officer, and to cause the online version of the Code of Ordinances to be updated.

Section 3.   That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health, safety, and general welfare of the residents of the Village of Marble Cliff by updating and making accessible its Code of Ordinances, and shall take effect at the earliest date provided by law.
