§ 152.024 POST REVIEW.
   (A)   After review and approval of the preliminary plat by the Planning Commission, the preliminary plat, together with the recommendations of the Planning Commission, shall be submitted to the City Council for approval.
   (B)   When the preliminary plat is filed with the City Council for approval, a published notice shall be given of a public hearing to be held within 30 days thereafter, in a newspaper published in the municipality or in the county.
   (C)   At the hearing all persons interested therein may be heard and the Council may thereafter approve or disapprove the plat. Approval or disapproval of the preliminary plat shall be made by the Council within 60 days and be conveyed to the subdivider in writing within 10 days after the meeting of the City Council at which the plat was considered.
   (D)   In case the plat is disapproved, the subdivider shall be notified of the reason for the action and what requirements will be necessary to meet the approval of the Council.
   (E)   The approval of the preliminary plat does not constitute an acceptance of the subdivision, but is deemed to be an authorization to proceed with the preparation of the final plat.
   (F)   This approval of the preliminary plat shall be effective for a period of 1 year, unless an extension is granted by the City Council.
   (G)   If the final plat has not been submitted for approval within this period, a preliminary plat must again be submitted to the Planning Commission and the City Council for approval.
