If the said chief of the fire prevention bureau shall find any violations or any conditions likely to create fire hazards he shall issue a notice to the owner or person responsible for such violation or condition requesting compliance within not more than fifteen (15) days. In the event of noncompliance within such period the matter shall then be turned over to the village attorney for prosecution. (1956 Code, Sec. 10-4)
