The board of health shall have power to make such rules and regulations, as it may deem necessary or advisable, in relation to the sanitary condition of the village, and for the prevention and suppression of disease, not inconsistent with the provisions of this code. Such rules and regulations shall take effect and be in force ten (10) days after publication in the village newspaper, except in cases of emergency as hereinafter provided. (1956 Code, Sec. 8-6)
