8-1-17: CONFLICT OF ORDINANCES:
In any case where a provision of any code adopted by reference in this chapter or any other provision of this chapter is found to be in conflict with a provision of any other code or ordinance of the village existing on the effective date hereof, the provision which established the higher standard for the promotion and protection of the health and safety of the people shall prevail. In any case where a provision of any other ordinance or code of the village existing on the effective date hereof established a lower standard for the promotion and protection of the health and safety of the people, the provisions of this chapter or of any code adopted by reference in this chapter shall be deemed to prevail and such other ordinances or codes are hereby declared to be repealed to the extent that they may be found in conflict with this chapter or code adopted by reference in this chapter.
