These regulations shall control matters concerning the construction, alteration, addition, repair, removal, demolition, use, location, occupancy and maintenance of all buildings and structures and shall apply to existing or proposed buildings and structures, except as such matters are otherwise provided for in other ordinances or statutes.
This chapter shall be construed to secure its expressed intent, which is to ensure public safety, health and welfare insofar as they are affected by building construction through structural strength, adequate means of ingress and egress, sanitary equipment, lights, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and fire safety, and to secure safety to life and property.
Where a code conflicts with another code, requirement, or regulations, the strictest shall apply. (Ord. 03-38, 4-19-2004, eff. 5-1-2004)
