(A) Utility Facility Application Fees: For utility facilities, unless otherwise provided by franchise, license, or similar agreement, all applications for permits pursuant to this chapter shall be accompanied by a fee in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). No application fee is required to be paid by any electricity utility that is paying the Municipal electricity infrastructure maintenance fee pursuant to the Electricity Infrastructure Maintenance Fee Act 1 .
(B) Small Wireless Facility Application Fees: The following fee schedule shall apply to applications to install wireless facilities:
1. Applicants shall pay an application fee of six hundred fifty dollars ($650.00) for an application to collocate a single small wireless facility on an existing utility pole or wireless support structure, and three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) for each small wireless facility addressed in a consolidated application to collocate more than one small wireless facility on existing utility poles or wireless support structures.
2. Applicants shall pay an application fee of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for each small wireless facility addressed in an application that includes the installation of a new utility pole for such collocation.
3. The Village will not impose fees on wireless service providers for:
(a) Routine maintenance;
(b) The replacement of wireless facilities with wireless facilities that are substantially similar, the same size, or smaller if the wireless provider notifies the Village at least ten (10) days prior to the planned replacement and includes equipment specifications for the replacement of equipment consistent with section 6-7-9 of this chapter; or
(c) The installation, placement, maintenance, operation or replacement of micro wireless facilities suspended on cables that are strung between existing utility poles in compliance with applicable Safety Codes.
(C) Required Application Fee: Notwithstanding any contrary provision of State law or local ordinance, applications pursuant to this chapter shall be accompanied by the required application fee. Application fees shall be nonrefundable. (Ord. 18-09, 8-6-2018)
