4-1-7-2: VIOLATION OF CIVIL RIGHTS; SANCTIONS:
   (A)   Enjoining As A Public Nuisance: Any violation of civil rights occurring in any public office, accommodation or amusement is declared to be a public nuisance and may be abated in any manner provided by this code for the abatement of public nuisances.
   (B)   Discharge Of Public Officials: Whenever any public official shall be found guilty of a violation of civil rights, the person aggrieved, or the village attorney on his behalf, may file a petition in the circuit court to discharge such official from office. The court shall order that such official be immediately relieved of his office or duties and shall order such official to resign or be removed or discharged. Any person violating or refusing to enforce any such court order or decree shall be deemed in contempt of court.
   (C)   Penalties Not Mutually Exclusive: The penalties and remedies herein provided shall not be deemed mutually exclusive. (1974 Code)
