3-23-11: REPORTING AND RECORD-KEEPING:
   (A)   Each operator shall require each guest checking in to a hotel to provide a valid identification document before permitting occupancy of any room. The hotel operator shall maintain a copy of such identification document on file.
   (B)   Every operator shall keep a record of all room rentals and of all rental agreements between the hotel and its guests. The following information, at a minimum, must be recorded at the time of registration:
      1.   The full name, phone number, and home address of each overnight guest over the age of eighteen (18), including such information for person checking any guest in to the hotel;
      2.   The number of guests occupying each room;
      3.   The room letter, symbol or number the guest is occupying;
      4.   The make, type and license number of the guest's vehicle if the vehicle will be parked on the hotel premises;
      5.   The day, month, year and time of arrival of each guest;
      6.   The date that each guest is scheduled to depart;
      7.   The rate charged and amount collected for rental of the room assigned to each guest; and
      8.   Documentation used to verify a stay in excess of twenty-eight (28) consecutive days, as applicable.
   (C)   Operators shall report to law enforcement of the village violations of applicable law occurring on the premises immediately after the same is reported to or witnessed by the operator.
   (D)   Each hotel shall have a manager on duty or on-call capable of assisting, communicating, and cooperating with the police or other law enforcement officials in maintaining the public health, welfare, and safety.
   (E)   The records required to be generated or obtained pursuant to this section shall be maintained by the operator for a period of no less one hundred eighty (180) days after the rental agreement's termination, and the hotel shall make such records available to the village within forty-eight (48) hours upon request.
