§ 54.004 SPECIFICATION OF WATER CONSERVATION GOALS.
   Current TCEQ rules require the adoption of specific water conservation goals for a water conservation plan. As part of plan adoption, each customer will develop five-year and ten-year goals for per capita municipal use, following TCEQ procedures described in the water utility profile (Appendix B). The goals for this water conservation plan include the following:
   (A)   Maintain a per capita municipal water use below 150 gallons per capita per day in 2029 (five-year goal) and 145 gallons per capita per day in 2034 (ten-year goal).
   (B)   Maintain the level of unaccounted water in the system below 10% annually in 2024 and subsequent years, as discussed in § 54.023.
   (C)   Maintain a program of universal metering and meter replacement and repair, as discussed in § 54.021.
   (D)   Decrease waste in lawn irrigation by enforcement of landscape water management regulations, as discussed in § 54.073.
   (E)   Raise public awareness of water conservation and encourage responsible public behavior through public communication and education programs, as discussed in § 54.040.
