There is established a board to be called the Construction Codes Board of Adjustments and Appeals (hereinafter called “the Board”), which shall consist of seven members who are residents of the city. The Board shall be composed of one registered professional architect, one registered professional engineer, one licensed master plumber, one licensed master electrician, one licensed air-conditioning and refrigeration contractor, as well as two alternate members, selected at large from the building industry. Board members and alternate members shall be appointed by the City Council. In addition, the City Manager or the City Manager's designee shall sit as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Board.
