(A) Upon payment of the applicable permit fees, the Chief of Police shall review an application for a wrecker permit. The Chief shall issue a wrecker permit to each applicant complying with the provisions of this subchapter and all regulations and requirements for wrecker and towing services which have been promulgated by the city and the state. In addition, the Chief of Police shall issue a permit for each wrecker to be operated by the permittee.
(B) A permit shall expire on the thirty-first of December in the year in which it is issued.
(C) The permit shall not be transferable and no permit shall be used on any wrecker other than the one for which it was issued.
(D) The annual fee for a wrecker permit shall be $15.
