The City Council shall adopt an ordinance granting exemptions under this subchapter. The ordinance shall specify the exempt structures and shall provide that all land shall be assessed for taxation in the same equal and uniform manner as all other taxable properties in the city. The city shall cause a copy of the ordinance and certifications from the Historic Landmark Commission to be forwarded to the chief appraiser not later than April 30 of the subject year.
