The City Secretary shall cause a copy of the code in booklet form to be distributed to and signed for by every officer and advisory board member of the city within 30 days after enactment of the code. Each officer and advisory board member thereafter elected or appointed shall be furnished and sign for a copy before entering upon the duties of his or her office.
