The Corporate Seal of the Village shall be a round disk with the words Village of Manhattan, Will County, Illinois engraved in the outer circle, and in the interior and center in a curved line the word Incorporated, then a "star" below, and the figures 1886, engraved on the face thereof.
The Seal shall remain in the custody of the Village Clerk, to be used by him in all proper cases. The unauthorized use of the Seal shall not have any binding effect on the Village; and the Seal alone without the signature of the Clerk in attestation shall have no effect. (1928 Code §84)
