A. Election, Function: The Board of Trustees, consisting of six (6) members, shall be elected to office as provided by statute. The Board shall be the Legislative Department of the Village government, and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be authorized by statute. (1928 Code §5)
B. Oath, Salary: Members of the Board of Trustees shall take such oath as may be prescribed by statute, and shall receive such compensation as may from time to time be provided by Village ordinance. (1928 Code §6)
