§ 31.11 ZONING POWERS.
   (A)   The Village Council hereby confirms the transfer of all powers, duties, and responsibilities provided for zoning boards or zoning commissions by the former Village Zoning Act, P.A. 207 of 1921, M.C.L.A. §§ 125.581 et. seq.; the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Public Act 110 of 2006, M.C.L.A. §§ 125.3101 et. seq.; or other applicable zoning statutes to the Village of Manchester Planning Commission formerly established under the City, Village and Municipal Planning Act, P.A 285 of 1931, M.C.L.A. §§ 125.31 et seq. The zoning powers, duties, and responsibilities of the Planning Commission shall be advisory only to the Village Council. The Village Council retains the authority to make all final zoning decisions after review and recommendation by the Planning Commission as provided for in the Village Zoning Ordinance.
   (B)   Any existing zoning ordinance shall remain in full force and effect except as otherwise amended or repealed by the Village Council.
