The property owner/customer shall bear the costs for the replacement, repair, or recalibration of all meters larger than a 1-inch service. Meters for services of 1 inch and smaller shall be repaired, recalibrated, or replaced at no charge. Meters shall be checked for accuracy upon request by the property owner or at the discretion of the Department. If a meter check is requested by a property owner and the meter is found to be operating properly, the total cost for labor, materials, and subcontracted services shall be borne by the property owner/customer.
