For the purpose of §§ 115.01 et seq., the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
COIN-OPERATED AMUSEMENT CENTER. Any business or portion thereof which maintains for public use on the business premises 6 or more coin-operated amusement devices, without reference to the presence thereon of pool tables and excluding those places of business which are licensed by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
COIN-OPERATED AMUSEMENT DEVICE. An instrument, machine, or contrivance that provides a test of skill, amusement, competition between 2 or more players, or other similar form of amusement or recreation, which may be operated or set in motion on the insertion of a coin.
MANAGER. The person in actual charge and control of the operation of a coin-operated amusement center.
OWNER. Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation which owns, operates, or maintains any coin-operated amusement center.
PROMOTER. A person who regularly or frequently engages in competition on coin-operated amusement devices for value with patrons of coin-operated amusement centers and shares the value of prizes received with the owner or manager of the center.
