(A) Consolidation of offices.
(1) The office of City Clerk and the office of City Treasurer shall be consolidated into one office to be known as the city’s “Clerk-Treasurer Office”.
(2) The Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council, shall appoint an official to bear the title of City Clerk-Treasurer who shall be the head of the office of City Clerk-Treasurer.
(3) The office of City Treasurer is abolished.
(4) The office of City Clerk is abolished.

(B) Reference to office. Whenever in the municipal code of the city, or in any ordinance or resolution of the city, the terms “City Treasurer” or “City Clerk” (or “Treasurer” or “Clerk”, where such terms clearly refer to the City Treasurer or the City Clerk) shall appear, such term shall be deemed to refer to and shall be replaced by the term “City Clerk-Treasurer”.
