(A) Such maintenance work shall be paid for as follows: assessment of costs of maintaining streets, alleys and public places shall be made against all of the property embraced within a maintenance district and shall be made and computed as follows: each lot or parcel of land within a maintenance district abutting upon a street upon which maintenance is done shall be assessed for that part of the whole cost which its street frontage bears to the street frontage of the entire district.
(B) Corner lots will be assessed on the basis of the narrower dimension of such corner lots abutting upon a street upon which maintenance is done.
