Before any permit to open any public way is granted, the applicant for such permit shall furnish satisfactory evidence that there has been issued to the applicant, and is in full force and effect, public liability insurance in the amount not less than $25,000 for injuries, including accidental death to any one person and subject to the same limit for each person, in an amount not less than $50,000 on account of one accident and property damage insurance in an amount not less than $10,000 with indemnity endorsement for the protection of the city.
