Whenever any ordinance, or any part of an ordinance, or a resolution is repealed or modified by a subsequent ordinance or resolution, the ordinance, or part of an ordinance, or resolution thus repealed or modified, shall continue in force until the repealing ordinance or the repealing resolution shall go into effect, or until such time as may be specifically designated in such repealing ordinances or repealing resolution.
