It shall be the responsibility of the planning director to issue proper addresses to each new residential and legitimate business structure for which approval is granted for a zoning permit. Each new residential and business structure shall be numbered in the manner set forth in section 4-2-4 of this chapter. At the discretion of the planning director and upon application, an unoccupied structure or facility may be assigned an address if it is necessary to identify the site for assessment, utility connections, insurance, emergency services or other similar reasons. Home occupations and vacant property will not be issued addresses. (Ord. 153, 5-18-2005)
