When this chapter imposes a greater restriction than those imposed or required by the provisions of exiting ordinances or rules and regulations, this chapter shall control. When the provisions of existing ordinances or rules and regulations impose greater restrictions than those imposed or required by this chapter, they shall control. Areas within the Sangamon River Floodplain and other regulated floodplains are subject to the requirements of the flood hazard area development regulations.
