(A) Immediately after receiving any animal for impoundment, the pound or animal control facility shall enter upon the records of the pound or animal control facility the date of impounding, a description of the animal impounded, and a record as to whether or not the animal has been inoculated and tagged with a proper rabies tag as required by this chapter.
(B) Public notice shall be given by posting one copy of the description of an animal and date of impoundment at the pound.
(C) If any impounded animal has tags identifying the owner thereof, the animal control facility shall attempt to notify the owner within seven days of receipt of the animal.
