(A) The President and Board of Trustees may designate a pound and/or contract with an animal control facility for the impounding of all animals delivered to the pound or animal control facility by the authority of the Animal Control Warden.
(B) The pound shall maintain an enclosure or other suitable means for impounding the animals in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and the applicable provisions of the laws of the state. All the animals shall be kept, maintained, humanely treated and fed by the pound until redeemed or disposed of as provided in this chapter and the laws of the state.
