The Chief of Police shall be ex officio Animal Control Warden for the village. Provision shall be made for the appointment of the animal control officers as may be necessary, including village police officers and animal control officers employed by contractual agreement or otherwise. Those persons shall be authorized to investigate matters regarding the provisions of this chapter and issue citations for violations of this chapter. The Animal Control Warden is charged with enforcement of this chapter.
