§ 156.160 GENERAL DESIGN STANDARDS.
   (A)   Any off-street parking area, other than those for residential uses, shall be designed so that vehicles may exit such areas without backing onto a public street.
   (B)   Off-street parking areas of all developments shall be designed so that sanitation, emergency and other public service vehicles can serve such developments.
   (C)   Every off-street parking area shall be designed so that vehicles do not extend onto public rights-of-way, sidewalks or tend to bump against or damage any wall, vegetation or other obstruction.
   (D)   The minimum standard for off-street parking areas shall be paved with asphalt or concrete with a compacted crushed stone base. Subject to prior approval of the application and design, alternative designs and materials which are incorporated into the overall stormwater abatement and treatment system will be allowed. Such systems may be used if constructed over an approved drainage collection system. The collection system and basin shall be designed and constructed to meet all city, state and federal regulations and be designed by a professional engineer licensed in the State of Kentucky. Examples of such alternative parking surfaces include: pervious concrete and contained and supported gravel, paver and grass infiltration systems. Similar surfaces may be incorporated in associated project walkways.
   (E)   Circulation areas shall be designed so that vehicles can proceed safely without posing a danger to pedestrians and without interfering with parking areas.
   (F)   No off-street parking area shall be located over an active or auxiliary septic tank field.
