(A) No person shall carry a concealed deadly weapon in any building or portion of any building actually owned, leased, or occupied by the city. That portion of a building in which the carrying of concealed deadly weapons is prohibited shall be clearly identified by signs posted at the entrance to the restricted area. This prohibition shall not apply to:
(1) Any city building used for public housing by private persons, highway rest areas, firing ranges; and
(2) Private dwellings owned, leased, or controlled by the city;
(3) Sworn officers in the division of police and other law enforcement officers authorized to carry concealed deadly weapons pursuant to KRS 527.020.
(B) Any person violating this section shall be denied entrance into the restricted area and ordered to leave the building. Any city employee violating this section or the provisions of House Bill No. 40 shall also be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from employment.
