§ 93.06 FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION.
   (A)   There is created a Fire Prevention Division of the City Fire Department which shall be commanded by the Fire Prevention Inspector, who shall have the permanent rank of captain. It shall be the duty of the Fire Prevention Inspector to make or cause to be made all inspections of buildings or premises required by federal, state, or local law, and to enforce all laws as they may relate to fire prevention. The Inspector shall regularly inspect all building construction to determine compliance with all laws relating to fire prevention. The Inspector shall perform all other duties which may from time to time be assigned by the Chief of the Fire Department.

   (B)   The Inspector shall be under the direct supervision of and be responsible to the Chief of the Fire Department. The Inspector shall supervise all personnel who may from time to time be assigned to the Division.

   (C)   All fire prevention activities shall be under the direction and supervision of the Inspector.

   (D)   The Inspector shall keep accurate, permanent records of the affairs of the Division and shall make a written report monthly of his activities to the Chief.

   (E)   The Fire Prevention Inspector shall be paid on a monthly basis and shall devote as much time to the performance of his duties as is necessary, not less, however, than five (5) working days a week.
