Every premises within the city limits with a city water and/or electric meter, or any place where garbage or rubbish accumulates, shall subscribe to the city’s sanitation collection service. Properties outside of city limits with city electric service, but no city water service are not required to subscribe to the sanitation service. Properties outside of city limits with city electric and water service shall subscribe to the sanitation service. Garbage shall be collected, or otherwise lawfully disposed of, at least once per week. Properties within close proximity of the city limits may choose to subscribe to the city’s sanitation service. This section shall not apply to areas where garbage is not capable of accumulating indefinitely such as poles, lift stations, etc.
