For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ACCOUNT. A record of utility services used by each property and the periodic costs of those utility services.
CITY UTILITY. Public utility services owned or operated by the city or agency thereof, including sewer, storm sewer, electricity, sanitation and water service.
COMMERCIAL. A nonresidential user of city utilities.
CONSUMER AND CUSTOMER. Any user of a city utility.
MULTIPLE UNITS. A building which is occupied by more than 1 person living independently.
RESIDENTIAL. A building which is used primarily as a residence of 1 or more persons living together.
UTILITY RATE SCHEDULE. A schedule of all utility rates and charges set by resolution of the city.
