§ 33.30 EMERGENCY PURCHASING.
   Purchases or contracts in this category require methods which exceed the departmental purchasing agent and/or Chief Purchasing Agent’s purchasing policy ordinance established purchasing limits and is beyond a regular or special Council meeting. In the event an emergency purchase is required due to circumstances beyond the city’s control (example: national defense, severe weather, and electrical system failures), the Chief Purchasing Agent, Public Works/Utilities Superintendent, Mayor and/or 2 Council members may approve such a purchase up to maximum dollar limit of $10,000. Further, the council will ratify and confirm such an action at their next regular, special or emergency meeting.
