A voluntary group of Police Reserves is hereby established. The Police Reserves shall be under the supervision and control of the Chief of Police. The Police Chief shall designate officers of the Police Reserve. The Police Chief shall be in charge of organizing the Police Reserve, selecting its personnel, and it shall be his or her duty to discharge any member of the Police Reserve for cause. Members of the Police Reserve shall be covered by the provisions of the City of Madison Lake worker’s compensation insurance, and liability insurance policies, while on duty. Personnel procedures, policies, and wage schedules applicable to regular employees shall not apply to members of the Police Reserve.
