§ 114.03 CIRCUSES, CARAVANS, THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES, AND OTHER SHOWS OR EXHIBITIONS.
   (A)   License required. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to make or exhibit within the City of Madison Lake any circus, caravan, theatrical performance, concert, or other show or exhibition or to exhibit natural or other curiosities for which pay or compensation of any kind shall be required, without first having been licensed therefor as hereinafter provided; provided, however, that when the proceeds or benefits of the show or exhibition be wholly or for the most part-applied to charity or public uses, or where lectures are of a scientific, literary, or religious nature, no license shall be required.

   (B)   Issuance. Any person or persons may obtain, and the City Clerk-Treasurer shall issue, a license to exhibit any such circus, caravan, theatrical performance, concert, or other show or exhibition mentioned in division (A) above in the City of Madison Lake upon payment into the city treasury of the required license fee and the exhibition to the City Clerk-Treasurer of the city of receipts for the payment thereof.

   (C)   Term limited. No license granted under the provisions of this section shall extend beyond the annual election of officers next succeeding after the granting thereof.

   (D)   Duties of the Police Department. It shall be the duty of the Police Department of the City of Madison Lake, and of all other police officers of the city in any case where the provisions of this section are violated to arrest the person or persons violating the same and bring him or her or them before a court having jurisdiction, to answer any alleged offense in the case.
