The Illinois Vehicle Code, ILCS Ch. 625, in effect as of August 1, 1998, and as may thereafter be amended, except as provided in § 70.99 below as to penalties and where applicable to matters not within the jurisdiction of the city, is hereby adopted by reference pursuant to the authority granted in ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, § 20-204. Any section of the State Vehicle Code, adopted pursuant hereto, may be cited by placing the description, “Ord. 1449,” before the appropriate State Vehicle Code section number.
