Any member of the Police Department who shall neglect or refuse to perform any duty required of him or her by any law or ordinance of the city, who shall, in the discharge of his or her official duties, be guilty of any fraud, extortion, oppression, favoritism, partiality, or willful wrong or injustice, or who shall enter any place where intoxicating liquor is sold while on duty, except in the discharge of his or her official duty, or who shall use any intoxicating liquors, or engage in any game of chance while on duty, shall be dismissed from his or her office by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
