The general rules and regulations for the Madison, Illinois Municipal Fire Department are not meant to cover all behavior, conduct or actions by members of the Department. As members of the Department, we are perceived by the citizens of the city as protectors of life and property and shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America, and in certain situations be held to higher standards.
