§ 32.62  NOTICE TO ABATE.
   In order to carry out the provisions of the foregoing section, it shall be the duty of the City Health Officer to serve a notice upon the owner, occupant or agent of any lot, building or premises in or upon which any nuisance may be found, or who may be the owner or cause of such, require him or her to abate the same within reasonable time. It shall not be necessary in any case for the City Health Officer to specify in such notice the manner in which any nuisance shall be abated, unless he or she shall deem it advisable so to do; such notice may be served by any officer of the city, and if such owner, occupant or agent shall neglect or refuse to comply with such order within the time specified, he or she shall be subject to a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $50 for every such violation; and it shall be the duty of the City Health Officer, upon the expiration of the time specified in the notice, to cause such nuisance to be abated, whenever the owner, occupant or agent of the premises in or upon which any nuisance may be found is unknown or cannot be found, the City Health Officer shall proceed to abate the same without notice; and in either case the expense of such abatement shall be collected from the person or persons who may have created, continued and suffered such nuisance to exist.
