§ 32.61  POWERS OF BOARD.
   (A)   The Board of Health shall have control over and prescribe rules and regulations concerning health, sanitation and food measures in the City of Madison, Illinois, and it shall be the duty of the Board of Health at all times to see that all business is conducted with due regard to the public health and comfort, and to request the revocation of any licenses which it may deem necessary for the proper preservation of the public health and comfort. It shall have and exercise general supervision over the sanitary condition of the city.
   (B)   The Board of Health shall enforce all the laws of the state and ordinances of the city in relation to the sanitary regulation of the city, and cause all nuisances to be abated with all reasonable promptness. And for the purpose of carrying out the foregoing requirements any member of the Board of Health shall be permitted to enter into any house, store or other building, or premises, in order to make a thorough examination of cellars, vaults, sinks or drains, and to cause floors to be raised, if the Board of Health shall deem it necessary; and to cause all dead animals or other nauseous and unwholesome things or substances to be buried or removed, or disposed of as the Board of Health may direct.
