§ 37.16 REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE COST OF MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL SERVICES PROVIDED TO PRISONERS IN THE CUSTODY OF THE COUNTY SHERIFF.
   (A)   Pursuant to 730 ILCS 125/17, reimbursement by the county for the cost of hospital and/or physician services provided to inmates in the custody of the County Sheriff shall be set at the current medical assistance rate pursuant to the State Department of Public Aid rate.
   (B)   Should the State Department of Public Aid rate for medical assistance be changed, modified or amended at a future date, upon implementation of said change, modification or amendment by the Department of Public Aid, the same rate for medical assistance shall be applicable in the county for the cost of hospital and/or physician services provided to inmates in the custody of the County Sheriff.
   (C)   Nothing herein shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in any court or any rights accrued or liability incurred or any cause or causes of actions accrued or existing under any prior resolution or ordinance.
