(A) The County Board of Health shall be established consisting of all of the members of the Madison County Board.
(B) The powers of the Board of Health shall be those authorized by 55 ILCS 5/5-25001 et seq., as amended.
(C) In accordance with “An Act relating to the care and treatment by counties of persons afflicted with tuberculosis and providing the means therefor,” 55 ILCS 5/5-23002(b), as amended, formerly Ill. Rev. Stat., Ch. 34, Par. 5-23002(b), as amended, the following action is hereby taken:
(1) The Tuberculosis Sanitarium and Board of Directors are abolished and the employees, records, assets and liabilities of the Tuberculosis Sanitarium and Board of Directors are transferred to and assumed by the newly created Board of Health; and
(2) A tax may be imposed by the County Board up to the maximum rate of 7.5 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
