Violations of this chapter shall constitute a misdemeanor, and shall be treated as a strict liability offense regardless of intent. Any person, firm and/or corporation that violates any portion of this section shall be subject to prosecution and/or administrative enforcement under §§ 1-9.01 et seq. of this code. The city may, at its option, pursuant to Cal. Civil Code § 2929.3, issue a 30-day notice of violation to the property owner. In the event a 30-day notice is issued, a fine of not more than $1,000 may be imposed for each day the violation(s) are not corrected.
