§ 31.02  PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
   (A)   A health department is hereby established for the county, and the Chairperson of the County Board is instructed to appoint a Board of Health consisting of eight members, in accordance with 55 ILCS 5/5-25012.
   (B)   In accordance with § 1a of “An Act Relating to the Care and Treatment by Counties of Persons Afflicted with Tuberculosis and Providing the Means Therefor” approved June 28, 1915, as amended:
      (1)   The tuberculosis sanitarium and board are abolished and the employees, assets, and liabilities of the sanitarium and board transferred to and assumed by the Board of Health; and
      (2)   A tax shall be imposed by the Health Department up to the maximum rate of .075, which shall not be increased at any time.
   (C)   The following fees are hereby established for the Public Health Department:

   (D)   Upon recommendation of the Ambulance Committee of the County Board, the Mt. Olive Area Ambulance Service hereby establishes the base rate fee at $180, and the carrying charge at $3.50 per mile.
