§ 31.01  TOURISM COMMISSION.
   (A)   The County Board hereby creates the County Tourism Commission as an entity of county government to coordinate and support activities related to tourism within the county.
   (B)   Upon the creation and appointment of the County Tourism Commission, it shall have the following powers and responsibilities:
      (1)   Develop bylaws to be approved by the County Board;
      (2)   Make recommendations to the appropriate committee of the County Board for grants and expenditures from the county’s Tourism Fund;
      (3)   Coordinate tourism efforts and activities among communities on behalf of the County Board;
      (4)   Maintain and promote the county through various forms of advertising;
      (5)   Request funds from governmental and non-governmental entities to support its activities; and
      (6)   Submit an annual report to the County Board outlining the activities and finances of the Commission.
   (C)   The Commission shall be made up of at least five county residents, one of which must be a member of the County Board, appointed by the Chairperson of the County Board with approval of the County Board and that each Commissioner shall serve a term of two years.
